A halter is horse tack equipment that fits around the face of the horse and is used with a horse lead rope to guide a horse or hold a horse. Halters are similar to bridles but it doesn’t have a bit connected to it. Thethers are different types of halters such as a nylon halter or leather halter, the show halter or a rope halter. The horse show halters are quite beautiful, decorated on the leather bands. We carry a nylon horse halters and leather halters. We also carry lead ropes; the Tuffy lead rope and heavy duty cotton lead ropes and a spring tether horse lead. When you use halters, It is important that the noseband and crownpiece fit right so that pressure is exerted correctly. A few hints on haltering a horse: move softly and slowly and introduce yourself so you don't scare him. Don't halter out of the eyeshot of the horse, he needs to be aware of your presence and what you are doing. Use a lead rope to go around your horse's neck to keep the horse steady. As with all horse tack, keep your halters and grooming kits in good condition . Check to make sure the leather is nouished or isn't worn or pulled away from the stitching and that the stitching is unbroken.
